Please read these terms and conditions carefully before enrolling your child for any programs at The Shed.
Code of Conduct
All participants will be expected to do their best to embody and practice The Shed Agreements:
I show Attentive Listening
I show Mutual Respect
I am Attentive, Aware, and Safe
I use appreciations and not put downs
I have the right to participate and the right to pass
As a caregiver, I agree to work collaboratively with The Shed to instill the importance of the above agreements. If my child/ren is/are unable to uphold the agreements, The Shed has the right to remove the child/ren from the activity or session at the expense of the child’s family.
Photo and Video Consent
Unless otherwise indicated, I give my consent to The Shed to use any photographs, or any edited versions thereof, that are taken of my child and/or myself while participating in The Shed courses or programs for use by The Shed in brochures and/or flyers that are distributed both as printed documents and/or on the Internet.
I understand that my child’s name and/or my name will not be identified with such brochures and flyers and I agree that neither my child nor I will receive any compensation for the use of any such photographs.
Medical Authorisation
In the event of an injury or medical emergency, I allow The Shed to provide first aid, arrange transport to a medical facility, and authorise emergency treatment as recommended by a doctor for the child named above.
I understand that all reasonable efforts will be made to contact the child's parent/caregiver and/or emergency contact if an injury or medical emergency occurs.
Cancellation and Refund Policy
1.1 We will always do our best to ensure that sessions will run as scheduled. However if the number of applicants is insufficient, The Shed may have to cancel the course. Should this occur then the full amount will be refunded within one month after the announcement. This does not include any transaction fees charged during payment.
1.2 For safety reasons, all sessions will be cancelled if the Black Rainstorm or Typhoon Signal No. 8 or higher, has been hoisted prior to the session. In this case, no refund, course credit, nor make-up session will be issued. If it appears that the Hong Kong Observatory is preparing to hoist the Black rainstorm or Typhoon Signal No. 8 or higher, during a session then all parents are encouraged to pick up their child as soon as possible prior to the signal being raised. The Shed staff will remain with all children until they have been returned to the care of their caregiver.
1.3 Sessions will be rearranged as an indoor session if Red Rainstorm or Typhoon Signal No. 3 has been hoisted prior to the course, in this case, no refund will be issued.
1.4 The Shed makes all efforts to sustain a healthy and safe environment for your child. Thus, should there be circumstances where The Shed is required to close its indoor space or cancel specific courses in accordance with the government’s guidelines, The Shed shall provide full refund to those affected.
1.5 We will not issue refunds, course credit, or make-up classes for any personal reasons (including sickness).
1.6 Refunds will only be issued for any cancellations made 4 weeks prior to the commencement date of the enrolled course. Please note that $500 admin fee will be charged for processing this refund.
Reschedule
Reschedule can be requested 4 weeks prior to the commencement date of the enrolled program, subject to availability. Please note $500 admin fee will be charged for each rescheduling request.
No make-up session will be issued under any circumstances.
Non-HK Residents
If your child is attending our program and you reside outside of HK, The Shed STRONGLY recommends that your child has their own individual travel or related accident insurance. I acknowledge that attaining individual travel or accident related insurance for my child is my responsibility.
